Website connection
Activate the Order Tracking extension on your RestroPress website and open RestroPress > Order Tracking to run the Getting Started checks for HTTPS, your manager account and the license.

Install and sign in
Download the Windows or Mac installer from your account, install it on the order station and sign in with your WordPress Administrator or Shop Manager account.

A complete test order
Connect your printer, set the store logo and footer under Printing Contents in the extension settings, place a test order and check the alert, the status change and the printed ticket with your team.

Does it run on Windows and macOS?

Yes. The Print and Tracking Desktop App is a native application for both Windows and Mac. Open your account downloads for the current installer, sign in with your WordPress Administrator or Shop Manager account on first launch and your orders appear in the app.

Which printers can it print to?

The app prints kitchen tickets and order summaries to receipt printers connected to the computer it runs on, including network printers. Compatibility depends on the printer model and connection, so check the current documentation before buying hardware.

What does it cost?

The Print & Tracking license is included in the Professional, Business and Agency plans. On its own it is $19 per month or $119 per year for one site, $49 per month or $189 per year for up to 5 sites and $89 per month or $229 per year for up to 15 sites. Does my website need to be online?

Yes. The app is a native front end for your RestroPress website: orders are created on the website and the app reads and updates them over a secure API connection. If the website is down, no new orders can arrive in the app.

Does it replace the mobile apps?

It is an alternative, not a replacement. The desktop app suits a team that works from a fixed computer at reception, the bar or the back office, while Order Tracking and Manager cover staff who move around with a phone. Many restaurants run both against the same website.
