Orders per slot cap
Set the maximum number of orders each time slot accepts, with separate caps for delivery and pickup. Only live orders count, so a cancelled order frees its place.
Item limits per order
Cap the total quantity of food items in one order, again with separate limits for delivery and pickup, and leave it blank where you do not want a limit.
Custom error messages
Write the message shown when a chosen slot is already full and the message shown when a cart has too many items.
Hide the time selector
Switch off the time dropdown for delivery, pickup or both, and show your own note in its place, for kitchens that work on a first come, first served basis.
Checked twice
Slot capacity and item limits are validated when the customer picks a slot and again when they place the order, so a slot cannot be overbooked by two customers at once.

Open the settings
Activate the plugin, then go to RestroPress > Settings > General > Time Interval Order Limit. Your opening hours stay where they are, in the core Service Options or the Store Timings extension.

Set intervals, caps and limits
Enter the time interval in minutes, the max orders per slot and the maximum items per order for delivery and for pickup, then write the two error messages. Tick Disable Pickup Time or Disable Delivery Time if you want to hide the time dropdown and show a message instead.

Let the checkout enforce it
When a customer picks a slot that is already full, or has too many items in the cart, they see your message and cannot continue until they choose another slot or remove items.

A few things to know.
Can I set different intervals for delivery and pickup?
Yes. Time Interval for Delivery and Time Interval for Pickup are separate fields in minutes, so you can run 15-minute pickup slots alongside 30-minute delivery windows. Leave a field empty to keep the RestroPress default. Start and end times are not set here; they come from your opening hours in RestroPress or the Store Timings extension.
What happens when a slot is full?
The slot stays in the dropdown, but as soon as a customer selects it the extension counts the pending and completed orders already booked for that date and time. If the cap is reached, the customer sees your Order limit reached message and has to pick another slot. The check runs again when the order is placed. Cancelled, failed or abandoned orders are not counted, so the slot reopens.
Can I limit the number of items per order?
Yes. Maximum items per delivery order and Maximum items per pickup order count the total quantity in the cart. When the customer tries to continue to checkout with more than that, they see your Error message for max items and cannot proceed until they remove some items.
Can I turn off time selection completely?
Yes. Tick Disable Pickup Time or Disable Delivery Time and the time dropdown is hidden for that service, replaced by the Pickup Message or Delivery Message you write. Orders are then placed without a time and the slot caps are ignored for that service.
Does it work with pre-orders for future dates?
Yes. The per-slot count is kept per service date and time, so a slot on Friday is counted separately from the same slot on Saturday when the Store Timings & Delivery Cutoff extension offers future dates.
