Enable the Driver App extension
Activate the extension on your RestroPress website and generate the API key that links RestroPress Rider to your store.

Add your riders
Open RestroPress > Drivers and add each rider with name, phone and ID details. They receive a login by email and sign in to the app on their own phone.

Assign a delivery and follow it
Pick a test order, assign it to a rider from the orders screen and watch the push notification, the address and the status change arrive on the phone.

A few things to know.
What do I need before riders can use the app?
A RestroPress website with the Driver App extension active. It is included in the Professional, Business and Agency plans, or sold separately at $19 per month or $59 per year for one site, $49 per month or $169 per year for up to 5 sites and $89 per month or $209 per year for up to 15 sites. Generate the API key in RestroPress > Settings > Driver, add each rider under RestroPress > Drivers, and they sign in to RestroPress Rider with their WordPress login. See which plans include it.
How does a rider know a delivery has been assigned?
When you assign an order to a rider from the orders screen, the app sends a push notification to their phone straight away. Opening it shows the delivery address and customer details, so nobody has to phone the kitchen for directions.
Can I see where my riders are?
Yes. Riders share their location from the app. The Drivers screen in WordPress shows each rider’s last position and whether they are online, busy or offline, and the assign map in order details refreshes every ten seconds. Customers using the User App also see the rider’s last location on their order.
Can I use it without WordPress?
No. RestroPress Rider is a companion to a RestroPress website running on WordPress and connects to it through the extension’s API key. It does not store or create orders on its own.
