WHAT REWARDS ADDS

Give regulars a reason to come back.

01

Points per purchase

Set how many points customers earn for every unit of currency they spend. The balance is credited to the customer account once the paid order reaches its receipt page.

02

Redemption at checkout

Logged-in customers type in the points they want to spend, click Apply, and the value comes straight off the order total as a Points line in the cart.

03

Points balance at checkout

The Promo & rewards block at checkout shows the customer how many points they hold, next to the promo code field, so they always know what they can spend.

04

Points expiry

Set how many days points stay valid after the customer's latest order, 60 by default, so regulars keep their balance alive and lapsed customers have a reason to return.

05

Item and category restrictions

Mark specific items or categories as restricted: they earn no points, and points cannot be redeemed on an order that contains one of them.

06

Min and max redemption limits

Set the minimum and maximum number of points a customer can redeem on a single order, and the redemption rate that turns points into currency.

07

Automatic reversal on cancellation

When an order is cancelled, the points it earned are deducted from the customer's balance, so nobody keeps points for food they never paid for.

08

Points in your customer list

The RestroPress Customers screen gains Points and Expire Date columns, so staff can see every balance and expiry at a glance.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

A few things to know.

Can I set different point values for different items?
The earn rate is one global setting, for example 10 points for every unit of currency spent, so you cannot give one dish more points than another. You can mark specific items or categories as restricted: they earn no points, and an order that contains one of them cannot be paid with points.
Do points expire?
Yes. Points Expire After is set in days, 60 by default, and the expiry date is reset each time the customer earns points, so active regulars keep their balance while lapsed customers lose it. Admins see each customer's expiry date in the RestroPress Customers list.
Can customers see their point balance?
Yes. When a logged-in customer reaches checkout, the Promo & rewards block shows how many points they hold, and the field to spend them appears as soon as the balance is above zero. Guests see a prompt to log in, since points are tied to the customer account.
Can I restrict points on certain categories?
Yes. Pick them under Restricted Items and Restricted Categories in the Rewards settings. Those items earn no points while the rest of the cart earns as normal, and if a restricted item is in the cart the customer is told that points are not applicable to that order.
